Quality of life in Morocco

What is quality of life?

Quality of life is the level of well-being felt by an individual or his/her family. It is not a tangible concept, and therefore cannot be measured directly. Additionally, quality of life consists of two components. One is a physical aspect which includes such things as health, diet, as well as protection against pain and disease. The second component is psychological in nature. This two characteristic includes such things as stress, worry, pleasure and other positive or negative emotional states. It is virtually impossible to predict the quality of life of a specific individual, since the combination of attributes that leads one individual to be content is rarely the same for another individual. Bread is tremendously cheap as its subsidized. Meat is not so cheap, eggs are cheap, wine can cost form 40 to 60D.

Housing prices are not so soaring. Renting a small house in the Medina is absolutely possible at any time of the year, though summer time is the busiest.

You also have the choice of renting a modern apartment by the beach outside the Medina (10 minutes walk to the Medina).

For a furnished traditional house in the Medina, you should suppose at least 2000 Moroccan Dirhams a month. It all depends on the shape, location and how furnished it is. Some thing nice would be around 3000 DHs amonth about 300 euros.
